the the 30th anniversary is going to have add ons:

rear/side privacy glass
a/c (which never came on UK CTRs)

16000 puonds is almost 30 grand. what kind of moron would pay 30 grand for a civic? you can have a dc5-R imported for 30 grand. I know this because mine will be here in 14 weeks, and it will smoke the CTR, in looks and speed

fine. US$30000 for DC5. but is it a new car or is it used and purchase at an Auction?? What's the history behind it? have you also added the conversion charges, shipping, tax and duty??

ok. agree the looks are ok on a DC5, but the EP3 is really growing on me and the DC5, now kind of looks stubby. Also did you know that the EP3 chasis could be made much more stiffer than the DC5 can ever be? How. well the floor is entirely Flat. you can put a brace corner to corner.

plus to rub it in, I'm not paying 16000, I'm paying 14500 (Honda Connection member)

That's what I thought, when I first saw them, but it's grown on me.
wait until you drive one then you know why. 130Mph through the country lanes and into long corners without coming off the throttle is bliss, Handling is clean and communcative. ... oh and the gear shift. my God it'd the sweetest shifter ever!!
The Engine is brilliant too. leave it in 3rd and poodle around London traffic. only faults is that it does not come with LSD as standard in Japan. but not to worry. Spoon LSD on order and should be here before the car arrives.

the 30th anniversery model is limited to 300 units for UK only too..

actually, if you knew *anything* about the uk market, you would realize their former pound currency internal the UK has the same value as the US dollar.

That is, for instance, if a bigmac cost 3 dollars here, a bigmac over there would cost 3 pounds.

thats why england is generally felt as an expensive place to visit. (london anyways)

Almost 30 grand? I'd call that mid 20's. C'mon now, as far as who would or who wouldn't, why is this of some concern? People choose to buy what they want, for whatever reason they want it, for the price they are willing to pay. As far as a DC5 being able to "smoke" a CTR in looks, that's simply an opinion. And even if the majority of people felt that way, it would still be an opinion, no more, no less. Some folks might think that the EP body style is more attractive than the DC5 body style, and might not be as concerned as others as to what they can "smoke" with it. Heck, using your logic, somebody would have to be a moron to pay 30k for a DC5 when faster, better handling cars can be had for the same money.

Congrats on your potential purchase! Just don't be going up against any WRX STi's or Lancer EVO's with it.

 

Privacy glass = tinted basically.. just what Honda UK like to call it.
