Funny thing happened to me the other day - I was at Barnes and Nobles studying for midterms with my GF, everything was going great until i found out that I left her calculus book in the trunk of my car. I had my backpack back there before i got it out. Alright, I walked to my car and tried to open the trunk, I have a 99 GSR, it would NOT budge.

I turned my alarm on and off and went to the driver side to unlock and lock. It would not give. I started tugging on it and it finally opened. The plastic hook thingie stayed there and did not move!!! So to make a long storie short, I could not close the trunk and had to drive back to her house to fix it. I could not move the white plastic latch that hooks onto the trunk so i tied it down and drove home.

Is this normal? or am I the lucky one who gets to experience this? Any tips on how to fix it? I think my cable got cut or ripped somehow (how awkward).

 

i know my latch always gets stuck and i have to wiggle it a few times to get it back but i have never had it stick that bad....might want to get it checked out

 

Man I have the same phucking problem sometimes, sometimes that latch gets stuck and it still shuts and I don't know really what the problem is but I have the damndest time getting it undone. It usually takes me about 15 minutes to fix and all I do is mess with all of the locks and all of that kind of thing. Don't have an explanation for it just that it is a pain in the ***.

 

dude the ac latches for the hatches just suck **** sometimes, mine sometimes wont shut and thne i have to mess with the latch . . . thne it ll shut, but wont latch fully and will like pop up when dricving . . same issues on all my tegs. its anooying as hell
