I just picked up a 98+ bumper/headlights from a friend today. Gonna pick up the lip soon. Anyhow, here's pics of the stuff in my room. I was wondering how difficult it would be for a paint shop to strip the color off the current bumper, and repaint it the same color as my car (check sig). Any projected prices for such a task? The bumper has a few scratches here and there and I was hoping that with a repaint job on the bumper, those blemishes and such would disappear.

I'd guess around high $100's to around $200.

They don't completely strip all the old paint off. They just rough it up and reshoot it with primer, paint, adn clear.

 

so I shouldn't be worried that the bumper is blue, but going to a green color?

 

Nope no worries. My ITR lip was factory painted Adriatic Blue Pearl and now it's painted Tafetta White. Now that's a color change.

ya, dont worry about it.. my ITR Lip was Super Sonic Blue, and now its Satin Silver.

 

Adriatic blue is awesome. Haveyou considered leaving the bumper and painting the rest of your car?

 

college student...no funds. I wish though. Haven't seen an Adriatic Blue 2dr before.
