trouble codes after a swap
I swapped a 95 h22 wired to the stock accord ecu and it is still giving code I think it was 1175 can anyone help I need to get this car running, and the vtec won't open
whoa, wait a minute give us a whole lot more info than that
which ECU specifically?
code 1175? where did that come from?
VTEC won't open? you need to do A LOT of research on what VTEC actually is

its the stock 00 accord ecu. the code was actually 1167 and it came from the ob2 computer. The car runs but the vtec doesn't open. We pulled the syleniod apart and tested it and it worked so i don't know what is going on
Are you sure you can use that ECU with your H22? I'm thinking that the Accord ECU has variable VTEC timing (kicks in at different RPMs). This may not be compatible with the VTEC on the H22 which is supposed to kick in at a specific RPM.
I didn't see a code 1175 on this chart but this may help you.

what the **** goes on anymore?
There are threads all over the place about people using accord ECU's with H22a's and H23 ecu's with H22a's.
Get rid of the god damn accord ECU which has a variable VTEC engagement point and is tuned for a motor with 50+ less horsepower. What a waste of time. Get the right ECU and your problems will go away.

get an H22A ecu.
Nick- you in a bad mood today, man?

well just for arguement sake:
there are a few local guys who have done swaps. not just the h22 but other ones
and some dont have the money to go all out and buy every single thing that they can get to make it the best swap in the world.
they get a longblock and try to squeeze what they can
i know what you mean nick. but also ppl do searches on here and find out that you CAN you an accord ecu. it wont help the engine reach its full potential but to get the car running and out on its way.. it will work
then you got some ppl, like me.. who cant seem to find their ecu unless they get a new one from honda for 852 dollars

The only reason that we aer using the accord ecu is cause the p28 that we are programing is taking awhile we are downgrading it to an obd1 so that is the only reason. I just wanted to see if the car could run error free with the accord ecu !
not just today, but recently, the stupidity around here is reaching new levels, people are doing swaps just for the sake of doing one cause its trendy, no one seems to do it the right way anymore.
and are you sure you're reading the codes right? is ity like long blink short blink, pause 5 short blinks pause 6 short blink or something like that?
