future of k-series
b series is gone, welcome k. just give the aftermarket some time & k series will own. the b series engines will always be bad a$$ & will always have a place in history, and will be used for swaps for years to come; but the k series will start to put out nice numbers in another year or two. i'm just waiting
K is soon to dominate the aftermarket, but the B series will live on in history.
After seeing the numbers that the K series is putting out, all Honda lovers will sooner or later transfer over.
It's not really a competition between K and B as you guys are kinda making it sound, we're all part of the Honda family, so lets keep that in mind.

i own a B now, and it will be a decade i feel untill the market catches up just like its had 15 years on the b series. Think of all the importnt honda tuners. Hondata, spoon, mugen, TOO and then the other tuners liek jun, toda, topfuel, etc....

The K-series is Honda's new standard 4-cylinder engine. It's used in the RSX, Civic Si, CRV, Accord, and Element. I also expect it to be used in the next generation of the S car (if Honda intends to continue it, that is). It has different configurations available for performance or economy. Parts and layouts are interchangeable between many different cars now, so that makes it cheaper for Honda to manufacture and maintain. It can achieve excellent specific output, and responds well to mods. Not to mention Honda is finally using a timing chain instead of a crappy belt, and we finally get roller-rockers.

I expect the K-series to really take off within the next few years. Aftermarket support should be huge, in addition to the growing selection of parts we have right now. It's a great engine, kudos to Honda
