Just for H-T: New info on 11" brake upgrades
As long as I've been making the 11" upgrade using the Integra calipers, I've been trying to figure out ways to reduce the cost of the parts, so in turn I could reduce the final price.
I've found a lower cost line of brake rotors, that while really inexpensive considering they are 11" rotors, the quality seems to be very good. These rotors are approx $27 each from many of the larger supply stores, sold under the Centric brand name.
In addition, I found out the calipers for the 88-91 Accord LXi, the 88-91 Prelude Si, the 88-90 Legend, and the 90-93 Integra are all the same, which means there are bunches of them in the salvage yards for as little as $10 each. Even if they need rebuilding, which costs $15 for a kit, you still have only $35-50 in them. Remanufactured calipers are only around $25 each from Autozone. And since the calipers are so plentiful in the salvage yards, I probably will stop including them in the kits.
So what does this mean to you? Well if you add up all the component costs based upon these new figures, you'll see the total would be somewhat less than $300.

I am not sure what your saying, If I have 11 inch rotors from one of these cars I can use 90-93 teg calipers on my si crx suspension, please elaborate, thanks alot.
Uh great Idea if you have teg, 90-91 EX, or 92+ Civic Spindles. If you have any 88-91 Civic/crx spindles with the exception of the 90-91 EX those listed calipers will not bolt up. Are you selling a plate to adapt these calipers to the spindles in the kit? I've check with http://www.fastbrakes.com and last time they didn't make this part and didn't plan on making it, there wasn't enough room and the plate would be too small to be strong/safe
These calipers will bolt up to ANY 84-2000 Civic DX, CX, VX, and Si w/o ABS as well as any USDM CRX using my adapter bracket kit, and allow the 11" rotors to be used.

I have this same kit on my CRX '89 ED9 (Si) and i'm wondering if i could use bigger calipers on the same machined brackets supplied with the kit?
Like the Legend 3.2 or NSX Calipers.

in your old site setup it had it where i can just buy the brackets for ~$125...do you still do that, that is all i need now, and i dont see it on the new site...
So your selling the brackets now?? Is this correct. If so I/M I'm interested or e-mail ls-vtec@charter.net. I noticed you dont accept I/M/????

his 4pot conversion, uses Lightweight Wilwood calipers and 11" good quality (drilled/slotted or both) rotors.

zCivic, Brian (Fastbrakes) has been selling brackets to avoid finding the EX knuckles for about 4 years now....

Well when I emailed them about a set for my STD to use teg calipers they said didn't have one and no intentions on making it. Thats all I know.
thats because you need the dx/si hubs and axles...the std is like using the HF which isnt really good...once you switch hubs and knuckles you can use the 11inch upgrade...

Axles and hubs are different I know this. The spindle assembly where the calipers go is the exact same thing. The calipers and rotors are the same . So if they make the brackets for a 88-91 DX/SI you can use them on a STD/HF. I have DX/SI calipers on my STD right now because my orginals died out.
