Where can I get some REAL good resources or books that teaches me how to paint my car !??

I am basically stupid to body work and sanding stuff..

all I have sprayed before are some model cars, and it came out nice...

i want to paint my bumpers and moldings....
I REALLY want to do a whole car repaint, but I am going to sell it shortly, so it's not worth the oney... so.. can somebody tell me HOW I can learn or start to paint my car??!!?? and my wheels !!

usually this type of work is a hands on experience. Books, Internet articles might not be what you are looking for. Instead, try taking a class for it.

or beter yet, there are VIDEOS!! But they are pretty expensive for just videos. Here is where you can get them: http://www.paintucation.com/ They also have a webboard where you can ask questions with experienced people who like to help people out. You'll see me on there sometimes helping and swapping info with people.

sorry to edit post again, i have looked at the website, looks like the video is pretty good, but for 110 for 3 videos sounds abit expensive..

do you think I NEED 3 of them?? or maybe just the first one??

i haven't bought it yet, but I don't think I need it because I feel experienced enough. I see a lot of people on message boards claim that they bought these vids and they recomend it to everyone. No one out there other than Paintucation produces these videos. They are so useful, that even some professionals buy them too. The guy who is in the video helps a lot of people on their message boards as well. if you got questions, he has all the answers. So I'm guessing that with all the videos, they cover pretty much everything about autobody/painting.

i suggest buying the videos that covers what you want to learn. like: if you want to learn painting, get the painting video, etc....

you cant go wrong with all the videos, but like i said, these videos are pretty expensive because no one else makes them. I have yet to see anyone else making them.

 

well..
there are 3 vidoes, paint your own car, color sanding and buffing, metal prep and rust repair....

I want to paint my car, so video 1 is a must
I need to do sanding and stuff before i can paint my car, right?? so i need the second video..
There are some small rust spots on my car, so i need the third video??

that means i need all 3??
