Looks like I am a goner.
I got an offer on my R today for my asking price, so it looks like I'll be selling it. This is the second offer I have gotten for my asking price, but the other guy couldn't buy it until March. I have never been so sad to sell a car. When I sold my Prelude SH it was because I was moving up to the R, but now I am moving up to a house... and houses aren't very fun to drive. Those of you with R's, don't forget to drive them and enjoy them and cherish what you have. We're all lucky to be able to experience such amazing machines.

Not something to be sad about it. Think of it as moving on to bigger and better things. Get the house situatated and then worry about getting another car that you will enjoy as much as the R. Good luck

I still have the Boxster S. I lease it through my company so getting rid of it doesn't give me anything toward a down payment on a house. I think I'll put a type R sticker on that. All the Porsche guys will have a cow! People can take pictures of it and call it "expensive rice."

Boxsters are nice cars (although slow

I got to drive one last year and was very impressed with the handling. Stock steering precision is remarkable.

Oh, my rent now is $685 for 1000sq ft, 2/2 2 garages

Which is why I'm trying to figure out a way to cash out one of my 401k's with no penalty

Wow, I'm really getting raped with these crazy Boston house prices...

I'm tryin', dude. The two 0% offers I'm looking at so far have me at $1200/mo for 1550sq ft, 3/2.5 2 car on 1.31 acres. I *could* do it, but it would mean noodles for me until I start bringing more cash in

I sold my Prelude (98 base) to help purchase my house. I don't regret selling that over weight, japanese Camaro! I do regret selling my 94 GSR though.
