Default testing clutch?

what is the way to test if the clutch is still good?, is it something like stop the car , and pull up the e-brake, and shift to second, then what? if it dies out is it good?

Hold the gas to the floor when you shift at redline. You'll find out really quick if it slips.

start out in first and side step the clutch at 6,000 rpm. se what happens . But really try driving in second gear about 15-20 mph (what ever speed is below your power range) then do some full throttle take offs at that speed. . In other words the engine should be lugging alittle and then floor it from what-ever speed your at. How long have you been driving that you don't know when a clutch is getting weak??? Or just launch the car and take it up to red-line in every gear (1-3) there should be no slippage. If you have any doubts about the clutch it's probably on its way out

Along with those ways you can also shift from first to fifth and see if the rpms jump up or if the car just bogs down.

Take out engine/tranny, then separate and look at the clutch, shouldn't take long.

I have been told to take off like normal (from a stop) in 5th and if you can, then your clutch needs replacing.

if the clutch isn't holding power anymore, you WILL notice it, unless you are a complete moron. so when this happens guess what? thats right, you get to replace it.
