I searched, I still need more info on B18A wiring into a 91 DX hatch.
I have a 1992 B18A motor, ECU, and wiring harness. I want to put it into my 91 Civic hatch. How hard is it to run the ECU that I have instead of switching it it OBD-0. Or is it easier to make it OBD-0? Also, I have a B16A1 tranny that I am going to use, can I use the flywheel off the B16A1 motor? Which clutch do I need?
which ECU do you have... you mean the ECU that came with the swap? most likely you will have to convert the car to obd1 i think hasport sells a kit of that nature...not sure.. you may want to try a search for a better answer

I have a 1991 civic SI that is wrecked and has a b16a in it. It has a PR3 ECU with black and green plugs on the ECU. Can I use this ECU? Will the B16A injectors and distributor work if I decide to go OBD0? Thanks

pr4 just means its a LS ecu, as far as your harness goes just use a Si harness or a OBD 0 or OBD1 harness they will both work and you wont have to rewire, just make sure your distributor connection hooks up good

You can use the distributor, although it will have to be modified to fit. Most people use the 90-91 LS distributor on their first gen B16 since there is no direct bolt-on US counterpart. I've never done this, but I know it involves cutting off one of the mounting legs. I think it also limits your range of ignition timing unless you widen one of the holes. The injectors will work with no problem.
Since you already have a B16 in the other car, you will need to use the injector plugs, resistor box, large distributor plug to replace the square DX one and any extra wiring that you'll need to convert it to MPFI. Since you have the B16, why not use the head and make an LSVTEC with the LS block?

When the car with the B16a was wrecked the radiator support was smashed into the head, which cracked it. I know I could just put a new head on it but I think the B18A with the J1 tranny will be fun until I can get a different tranny and go turbo. I think I will try and find a 90-91 teg distributor so I dont have to do any modifying. So all I need now is the distributor and a 90-91 PR4? Thanks for all the help.
