Ok my car runs really strong, and fast when its cold. but the second it hits operating temp the ecu will throw code 17. the car as it warms up will slowly fuel bog, but when the check engine lite hits and the 17 is thrown the car runs like crap. woudl the vss cause me to fuel bog? and i previously and still think its the 02 sensors. but the o2 sensor codes arent getting thrown? all my vacuum is set up correctly now, everything looks good. my timing is advanced. i just dont understand why im fuel bogging! anyone please help.

VSS would have nothing to do with your car bogging. it just means your speedo cable is not connecting or the electrical connection behind the guage cluster isnt working right. doesnt really affect much else. check code and search elsewhere.

 

it was vacuum and timing. but neither of these would throw a code. so i was just being angry. i figured it out for the most part though. thank you.

 

ok i FIGURED OUT VACUUM. but i cant TIME MY b16. the timing marks are not to be found. iam very very very stressed out. i need some help PLEASE?

ok thats cuz i havent hooked up my speedo yet.

but anyways it will fuel bog really badly once it warms up. i NEED TO fix this asap. this is my daily driver. that gets crap gas milege.its almost undriveable. the only time its driveable is when i SLAM on the gas so its wot. and its still slow as *****.

isnt code 1 mean O2 sensor? not sure on the b16 tho. that could explain the warming up issues...

 

its code 17 one long means ten plus the shorts

codes one and two are o2s
