Default suspension questions - springs

these questions are all for a 90 civic hatch.

1. is it possible to switch the front and rear springs?

2. what are the spring rates on the stock springs on a civic si and dx?

3. how would the car ride with 350 ft and 450 rr? looking for a ride just a little stiffer than stock (lots of potholes around here).

are you talking about stock springs? if so, you could feasibly do it, but i don't think you'd want to. the front are linear with a higher spring rate and the rears are progressive. progressive springs in the front wouldn't work to well.

i have either 350f/400r or 400f/450r mated with koni yellows and the ride is much stiffer than stock. if you want a stock-ish ride, go with the eibach pro-kit springs. i have them on my teg with agxs.

this might not give you exactly what you need, but it might help.

Find a 91 LX in the boneyard. I just swapped the front and rear springs on my '88 DX. It keeps the stock ride height (w/ZC motor + 50-60 Lbs) in front and rear but is a firmer ride. I also added Suspension Techniques sway bars (22 mm F/R) with KYG AGX shocks. It corners flat and yet my old bones don't get jarred too much. I tried Integra springs but they are too tall and even when cut down offer to harsh a ride for my taste. LX sprigs with a good swaybar front and rear and good shocks is what I have setteled on.
