a/c removal -- the part inside the car
I am trying to remove the a/c system from my 91 hatch. I have already taken out all of the a/c stuff in the engine bay. There are two lines that go through the firewall into the car that connect to the evaporator (i think).
How do I get this part out? Can I get to it if I remove the glove box, or does the whole dash have to be removed?
Thanks.

You should be able to remove it by only removing the glove box and glove box support, then simply unbolt it and unplug it and tadda..... Are you gonna be selling this AC system, I have a buddy with civic Si that might be interested.
Your not going to have any heat if you take out everything. The heat travels through that so at the most what you would want to do is just take out the condensor from inside of the plastic. You will need to put the plastic piece back in so the heat can travel through it. If you go this way you will want to close off all of the holes that are in the plastic but the best way to do it is to get that plastic piece from a non-A/C car and put it in. Otherwise how you have it right now with just those 2 lines leading into the engine bay with the condensor in it all will work I would cap off those ends in the engine bay though.
i have already sold the a/c. I just want to make sure that the person buying it from me gets all the parts he needs.
what does the condensor look like?

its basically like a square box with a bunch of fins on it (like a radiator) plus there will be a thermostat attached (just pushed in-between the fins) to it and well plus the 2 connectors for the lines obviously.
