I am having problems with the Skunk2 extended wheel studs spinning in the hub. Question: are the ARP #100-7708 wheel studs as long as the Skunk2's? I am running the Bogart Drag-on-Fly lites and the spacers are pretty thick.

Thanks for the responses. I ordered the ARP's today. And I am going to have all of them tack welded in place by a professional. (I welded the Skunk2's myself, and they did not hold so well).

cuz the knarl on them is HUGE, so when u press em on they are such a tight fight that it will literally bite into the hub. but if u really really want, u can tack weld em too
We had some issues with the skunk2 studs on a hatchback we were running here. The combo of skunk2 studs and lugnuts was nasty. Lugs threaded onto stock studs just fine, however in combo w/ the skunk2 studs they would thread on for about a half inch and then required the use of an impact gun to be put on, which was chewing up the threads.
I will definately be using ARPs in my car this year.

Installed one side tonight. Not as long as the Skunk2's. I'm going to do the other side and test mount my Bogart's tomorrow .

ARP's are a little shorter, but should be o.k.
Here are the Skunks:
The ARP's do not go all the way to the end of the lugnut like the Skunks do.
Note:when I took these photos, the ARP lugnuts went on and came off as smooth as butter. The lugnuts on the Skunk side gave me a little trouble, that is why I was looking for replacements in the first place.

is it ok to use open ended lugs one stock rims.like gsr. si rims?
One of the problems with the rules(last year anyway)was that the stud is suppose to extend (i think the length was) 1/4" past the lugnut. NHRA was lienent with me one time last year but they said they were just letting "some things" go do to their infancy of the new sanctioned body. Again...not sure how its ruled now....but it should be changed a bit so that so much of the stud is being held by the lugnut or so much of the stud is past the face of the rim etc.

i have the same bogarts. but, i use the moroso wheel studs instead of the ARP's. slight tension when putting on the lugs with the morosos.
I have always had trouble at the track when my wheel studs don't extend past the lugnut. I honestly think they are not going to let that slide too often from now on.
I would rather have trouble with the skunks then be sent home after driving half way across the country.
