Clutch/Neutral
Besides obvious differences, what is different between clutch being pushed in or just placing in neutral? As far as engagement/position of parts from clutch/flywheel/pressure plate assembly to clutch pedal.
maybe this will help ...

thanks for the link... - that part i understand.. when pedal is pressed, clutch is pushed back from flywheel, but what happens when you place gearing in neutral.. whats different about that? - for some reason i can't picture that..
When the cluth is pressed in, it is not spinning the main shaft (well it's spinning a little, but not connected to the motor). When the car is in neutrual and the clutch is not pressed, the motor is spinning the main shaft, however, since its not in gear, the car does not move
to put it in a way that you can imagine.
Neutral = you standing there looking at a spinning rod; you are not spinning with it
IN GEAR = you grab spinning rod and start flying in circles with it.
