Default Clifford Matirix1 problems...:( Long, but pleas help!

I installed the Clifford Matirx1 into my 94 Integra about 3 weeks ago. The install went really well and it worked perfect for about 2 weeks...not even one problem.

About a week ago I was standing in my Kitchen and I kept hearing "warning chirps." 3 in about 5 minutes. Then a couple minutes later is the siren started going of really quiet and progressively got louder and louder until it was going off full blast. I hit the disarm button over and over again, and nothing. I then disconnected the battery to stop it (neighbors were getting mad).

I let it sit for about 30 min. then reconnected the battery. The alarm started going off again, but turned off when I hit the disarm button. I then re-armed it and went inside. A little while longer it did the exact same thing so I took the fuse out of the alarm and said screw it for the night.

The next day I put the fuse in and it started going off again, so I hit the disarm button on the remote and it turned off. Then I hit the button again and it re-armed. This time when I re-armed it it chirped once (which is normal), then chirped once again about 2 seconds later (which means a sensor was being triggered while I armed it).

I let it sit for a few hours then the siren started going off. This time it let me disarm it with remote.

I looked at the warning light and it was flashing the sequence for zone 4 which is the optional sensor input (which I don't have hooked up).

I armed it one last time and it did exactly the same thing only it didn't let me disarm it with the remote this time so I took the fuse out.

I was so frustrated that I just let it sit for a week. Tonight I decided to put the fuse back in and it immediately started going off again and I couldn't get it to disarm with the remote or the valet switch.

This is just pissing me off. Does anyone have any ideas?

could be a bad brain.. i would try to eliminate anything else first..

i know a lot of dei alarms in general, clifford and viper will sound the alarm when power is given back to it if the battery has been disconnected when the alarm is going off, so that part is normal.. you just need to find out what is triggering it, did you solder and tape all the wires good, check over all the wiring and make sure you got the right wires.. something can come loose after about 2 weeks if it wasnt done right the first time

I soldered and shrink wraped every wire. I also grounded all grounds to the same spot. I spent alot of time making sure everything was perfect. The only problem I had with the instal were the door tiggers. The first time I only hooked it to the driver door. I fixed it buy jumping a wire from the passenger door trigger to the drivers side trigger. Both doors worked after that.

Is there anything being loose that could cause this? My friend suggested the gound may not be suffiecient?

I really hope its not the brain. Since I didn't have a shop instal it I don't think I will be able to get any kind of replacement.

yikes.. dont EVER tie together factory wiring.. if they were meant to be together, the engineers would have designed it that way...

grab the correct wire for the doors (http://www.morningz.com/mz/integra/a...arm.asp?page=3) to start off with...

as for changing the ground... i dunno, doesn't sound like the issue, but you may want to try it anyways.. wouldn't hurt

Thank you for the link on door triggers! I'll switch it tonight and see if it helps.

Havning it hooked up like I did counldn't hurt anything could it? And possibly cause the problems I was having?

YES!!!! I just got the time to do it about 10 min. ago!!!! Just to test it I cut the wire that I had going to the door triggers...then plugged the alarm back in. It disarmed with the remote with no problem!!! I then soldered the the door switch wire into the proper wire in the pillar and it works perfectly!!!

I don't understand how it worked fine for 2 weeks, then decided to start being a pain in the ***...?

Anyways, I guess it pays to do some research. Thanks for the help guys!

ok i might sound coky but ive been installing alarms for 12 years and in that time ive done 100s of dei product and ive only seen one bad brain EVER now what you have written here sounds like a classic BAD GROUND now dont take offence to this but if you grounded to a factory bolt that would most likly be your problem but it may also be that the lack of a good ground over a long time period has caused the alarm brain to short if you have any questions feel free to call me at my shop actually for that matter anybody can e mail me directly at weirdintegra@hotmail.com

I solved my problem...if you didn't read the whole post...

Anyways, Im pretty sure the ground is not the problem...I grounded it by taking a bolt out (under the dash), sanding down the area, and placed all of the grouns in a brass connector the soldered arround the connector where it meets the wire. This the was bolted to the hole on the fire wall...
