Here's the deal my car started ideling like crap the other day but yet there was no check engine light, so I look under the carpet at the ecu and it shows me a code 23 (KS the knock sensor) now my question is, is this sensor making my car idel like crap?

 

fix the KS and then see if it's the culprit. Obviously something isn't right with the KS or it wouldn't throw a code.

 

If the car's timing is retarded would it cause the knoock sensor code to go off?
