Default Axle install help (PICS)

I'm having a problem installing the driver's side axle into the intermediate shaft. Take a look at these pics. It is somewhat difficult to explain....

The distance between the end of the shaft and the C-clip on the intermediate shaft male end....note that distance.

Now note the distance inside the axle between where it ends and where the spindles end. There is not enough room for the C-clip to click in. I compared this to all the Pep Boys remanufacturered axles they had and they all looked like this.

Here is a picture of the entire driver's side axle as a reference.

Thank you very much for your help. I need to get this car up and running. Every time I do, something breaks in about 2 weeks again.

Default Re: Axle install help (shamoo)

So the problem is that the inter. driveshaft input looks too long for the drivers side axle to fit? Have you tried putting them together yet? When I put mine back together, I had to use a bit of force (hammer and block of wood) to get them back together.

If it doesn't fit and pep boys say that's the right part...return that axle it and proceed to the closest acura dealer to get an OEM part which will undoubtedly fit! HTH
