I am trying to put a lsd into my GSR tranny. However it comes with the tapered bearings and I would like to swap it out with the ball bearings (my GSR uses ball bearings). Now here comes the hard part, how do I remove the tapered bearings from the LSD? I brought it to 3 machine shops and they all say that I have to cut it out and want to charge me 60-70 bucks for it. Heck if it is only cutting, my air grinder can do that. I thought you can press it out or something easier.

 

heh.. just grab 2 prybars on each side, and pop it off.
