Default Volk TE-37's for Type-R

Will 18x8's fit on a type R or are 18x7.5 better? Can 215/35/ZR 18 fit on both sizes?

even those are too small. 22s or 24s look the best imo. you will have to flare the fenders a bit, but that just makes it look even titer.

you do 18s (why bother?!?!) and you're a joke. do 20s and you're a wannabe. but you can't lose on 22s. and 24s make you a mack daddy pimp.

and flared fenders make your **** look even faster! like a 9 second car and ****!

It is cheaper for me to use 18's because I already have brand new tires that were intended for a different car. So if it is not too much trouble, could someone just answer the question?

Damn postwhore clones!

Where are the intelligent persons I see posting up here normally?

Just because I am not part of your gay *** orgy clique you guys say this ****. I have a simple question that requires a simple answer. I have my reasons for this, so just let it be. I am interested in saving $450 bucks, I am sure most of you would be willing to save that kind of $. If my name was yoshi, sgt, or Miraz you would not say ****. Damn fools. I never talk **** to anyone on here, why you need to do it to me?

Because those guys would never ask "Will 18x8's fit on a type R?"

In defense of everone in this forum, you should know better than to ask about huge wheels in here. you know damn well what everyone's response is going to be.

anyway I would say that they wont fit very well but I honestly am not sure. And if you are buying huge wheels just because they are a good deal and you could save $450, I would advise against that. just my 2 cents.

The reason you have gotten these kinda replies is because 18" wheels are totally unpractical....you will lose power, get worse gas mileage and just look like a stunna....I mean if you wanna ruin a perfectly good type R, then be my guest. This forum is very technical, people pour blood, sweat and tears(not to mention $$$) into trying to squeeze every ounce of power out of their cars and you want advice on spending money to loose power? Think about it.....my advice to you would be to sell the tires that you have and pick up something more practical that will look good and be effective in return, good luck.

I'm putting 235/35/18 Pirelli PZero Rosso Assymetricos on 18x7.5 Volk TE37s.

The ONLY reason I'm getting 18" wheels is to clear 14" front brake rotors though, YMMV.

Thank you, that is a little better. I can handle CONSTRUCTIVE critisism, not visious mockery. It's not like these rims are 3 piece RH deep dish @ 30lbs a piece. I needed to have at least 17's to clear my brake rotors, and to save the $ and just add aprox 2-3 lbs to the rim, I choose 18. Some day some of you will meet me and you may be sorry you said this **** to me, I am a friendly person and respect everyones taste in performance goals. I am still a new R tuner, I and try to learn as much as I can. For the most part this board has been helpful, but once and a while it pisses me off, especially when I am just trying to ask a simple question.

Go with a 18x7.5 and a 215/35/18" tire.

That will work out the best for you.

See Reid has his reasons, and its all good cuz Reid did it. I just ask about it and get flamed. Damn, this is what I am talking about.

*Bows Down to REID*
I hope to be like Reid one day....

Again Reid makes everything good again.

I still have stock calipers but have AEM rotors up front, with stock sized slotted rotors in rear.
