TireRack question...are they negotiable? (not price)
I know most wheel/tire stores will toss in free lugs/hubcentric rings if you ask, is tirerack the same way? anyone have any sort of experience with this?
ahh damnit, i could have swore someone said they did, i'll try anyway, what could it hurt?
Reid - who finds Tire Rack's phone calls annoying after ordering tires, but understands they must cover their butt as far as liability goes...
My experience would be that they wouldn't.
I refuse to tell them what car my tires are going on, from all the persistent 'we won't sell these to you for x reason'. Very very annoying. Good prices and service delivery-wise, but their customer service is.... odd. Even if it is to cover their butts.

LOL
I ordered a set of Kosei's (Racing Seneka's) for my GSR. Everything I needed, including hubcentric rings, and new lugnuts (thin style) were included. Didn't even think to ask for it when I ordered it.
I would think they would all the time, but this is my only experience with them. Wheels and tires don't do you a lot of good, if you can't mount them properly.
I was quite happy with buying from TireRack.

I ordered a set of Kosei K1s (no tires) from them and they inlcluded the lugnuts, valvestems, and hubcentric rings. They only sent me two valvestems originally and after a simple phone call, the other two were at my door in 2 days. I took my K1s off for the winter and I noticed that one of my hubcentric rings were gone (must have happened during a tire rotation). So I ordered two extra rings and got them quick. Since I had my K1s off the car, I didn't bother checking to see if I had gotten the correct rings. About 2 months after getting my replacement rings, I find out that they were the wrong ones. Again, another simple call and the correct rings were at my door a couple of days after.

Thanks a lot man
sometimes tirerack has some pretty cool promotions...for instance, when i ordered my yoko avs es100's from them, they gave away a 1/18 ready to run HPI porsche RC car with it for free...it was a $100 value thrown in for free...that was pretty cool.
Are you buying wheels? or tires? When I got my K1's from them they included rings and lugnuts.
like the others said..
mine came with the black lugnuts FWIW and the blue stems.
Reid: They just call to warn you that you will die if you order the 195-50-15's to confirm that you want to take the liability. no big deal.

Yes, same here... I bought OZ Superleggeras with tires from Tire Rack a while back. They came with the hubcentric rings and lug nuts at no additional charge. I assumed that they always do this when you buy a wheel/tire package...

Very repetitive too.
Chris - who has learned to just order and not answer their questions.
well, i just ordered the last set silver 15x7's in the +45 mm offset today. they still have Silver and white in the +38mm.
the outcome you ask? well they threw in "standard" lugnuts, and plastic hubcentric rings, i went ahead and ordered the metal hubcentric rings as well, just in case, i've heard of the plastic ones melting before when brake temps get high.
the anodized blue valve stems are included with the wheels.
i also ordered some centercaps to go with them, because i am a dork.
just finished ordering some black mcgard spline drives from summitt racing. 85ish?
not a bad deal.
