Default hotshot header

sooo anybody know why the hotshot h22 header (which was designed for a h22 in a civic chassis) will not fit in a prelude? is it the front engine mount? the AC pump/bracket, the fact that it won't bolt to a stock exhaust? does it not clear the front subframe? please tell me casue its supposed to make 12hp OVER the best DC has to offer. i will be willing ot make a few sacrafices or custom fabbing, depending on what it is. also its half the projected cost of the smsp piece, food for thought.

I had emailed hotshot before about their header awhile ago. I think they mentioned that their header will not fit the front subframe.

Front mount, sub frame etc etc....

Get a greddy header, fits and great performance.

yea, i called hotshot and they told me that there was no problem with the front subframe. they said the problem was with the AC bracket and the front engine mount. so varrying info is spreading around from the company obviously. i was hoping to get somebody that had first had knowledge, as to the greddy thing, i'd rather pay a little more to get a much better header with a 3" collector thats race proven.

AC bracket? Hmmm, but I don't see how that will get in the way? The front engine mount, maybe...but the AC bracket?

Anyways, can you possibly cut the front subframe a bit to fit the header?

Dude, that thing won't come close to clearing the subframe, or motor and AC mounts. Give up on it, its only for hybrids! If you want a great header for your prelude. Get your name on SMSP's build list..

reason being the SMSP piece is hyped to be at least twice the price of the hotshot piece and have relatively the same gains. not to mention i havn't see ANY info on the thing and no one has been able to provide me with a website to even check out the company. i mean before a month ago i had never heard of smsp, i honestly think they are all hype. call me skeptic.
