im thinking about buying a type r but i live in fla and its at a acura dealership in austin texas. I dont have carfax but when i typed in the vin it said 8 records i know that doesnt sound right but could it be from going to the original owner to the dealership and back and forth and just adds on? and does anyone kn ow a good reputable car transporter that'll ship a car from texas to fla?

 

If your that serious about buying one, buy a plane ticket and check it out yourself.

8 records doesnt mean its bad. could mean it has had 8 checkups or oil changes, etc

 

Why the type r? It is a lot easier to build a GSR....plus insurance is cheaper. Also, that is correct....8 records means for title leins, emissions testings, title transfers, etc...and all should have a mileage recorded.

 

8 records arent crap mine has 6 or 7 and they are all emmissions and crap,date of sale and other junk that is worthless never the less if ur serious about this car ask the dealership to provide a carfax report if they refuse screw them somethin's wrong.

yea well no matter how much you build on that GSR, its still a GSR, apparently that bothers some people, whatever, nonetheless I'd get the R. Lots of fun outta the box.
I myself almost got a '00 GSR, but instead got the R, no regrets despite only adding AEM and coilovers. Very fun car.
