Default brakes....

whats out there and how do they perform. I need pads and don't know what to get. I have a boosted coupe and was running power slot rotors and endless pads. I really don't what to get another pair of endless because they are kinda pricey. I am looking for something that performs and lasts with a reasonable price. I was thinking about AEM.

opinions please...

also can power slots be turned.

I edited your title because that old one might not get ignored because we get a lot of the same brakes Qs here every day.

First of all help us help you:

What kind of "coupe" do you have? DX? EX? Si? What sized brakes are you running? Are they stock?

To answer one question for sure, yes your Power Slots can be turned.

Brake pads?

Need more info.

Hehe sorry if you thought I was being an ***.

I just wanted you to get more specific help from people that have similiar set-ups to you.

As far as what pads to run, that's a tough one really. There's a lot of good pads. I'd stay away from the race-type pads because they require heat-up time and are not kind to rotors.

I'd look for a company's street performance compunds.

Try the auto-X/Road race forum too - I'm sure there's a lot of good info on pads there.

Sorry I can't help in this case, but honstly I won't guess if I don't know.

I run a boosted 2k Si with Brembos and Hawk HP+ pads

they are pricey, and they dust quite a bit, but they work great.
the GreenStuff are junk, and the AEMs even worse then that.

brake pads are something that you get waht you pay for. dont cheap out on your braking ability. remember, its the pads that stop the car, NOT the rotors. spend the money, you'll be glad you did.
