Spark plug wires!
Get the OEM ones, they are like $40 new...
Plus they last a long time. My mechanic tested and told me my stock spark plug wires were still good at 108k miles on my 94gsr.

owners manual says like 60k i think i got nkg power cables which are basically the spoon wires with out those dumb grounding straps great wires (better be for $170 hehe)
So I guess the brand of choice is NGK's? Any particular reason why? I'll look in to getting a set. Thanks
Helms does not indicate a certain milage to replace the spark plug wires. They're wires...how would they fail unless you cut them? Really they should last you the life of your car...but if I did have to replace them I would go OEM.

All you need is an ohm-meter or multitester. If the resistance is more than 20,000 ohms (20 kilo-ohms) then they need replacement.
I got the NGK blue wires for $50 from Nopi. They fit great, no problems yet.

this is true.. happened to me... one of my (#3) Magnecor wires kept coming off the spark plug every now and then while driving.. it pissed the hell out of me because I paid about $80 or so for them and thought they would be an upgrade for my old stock wires... when I called magnecor for warranty.. they told me to try crimping it and that didn't help... so I sent the wire back and after "analyzing" it and telling me they fixed it... they told me nothing was wrong w/ the wire and sent it back to me
so I put it back in thinking they did the crimp correctly or whatever I put it back no my car start driving and w/ my luck.. I was on my way from Nor Cal to So Cal to visit my ex (500 mile trip).. and on the uphill climb on I5's grapevine.. my car starts to stumble and run like $hit and the CE light comes on.. I pull over as soon as I can.. pop the hood.. and what do you know.. the SAME (#3 cyl) magnecor wire which was supposed to be "fine" popped out again...
call them again.. they say maybe its something wrong w/ my motor or spark plugs... I took off the valve cover.. changed ALL the spark plug gaskets, did a valve adjust and valve cover gasket change while it was open then put in NEW plugs... torqued everything to spec w/ a torque wrench.. thought everthing was good to go (since the wire supposedly checkd out fine)...
couple weeks later.. the SAME wire pops out again... I send it back once again for warranty.. and they didn't respond to me for about a month.. then they claimed they were "moving to a bigger warehouse" and that they didn't get my calls, email, snail mail asking about my wire.. wtf? OK if your moving factory.. at least you can check your email right?
they sent me out a totally new wire and it was OK
but I will NEVER EVER again buy Magnecor nor recommend it to any of my friends...

I think most people like NGKs because they have good fitment and i havent heard any problems when they are used. i heard horror stories w/ other wires such as magnecor (concerning fitment and wires coming loose while driving) but this is all persay. u can't go wrong w/ oem (sumitomo makes the oem wires i believe.)
