Default Question for MTK or any knowledgable HID consumer

Hey MTK,
Sup man gotta question about purchasing 4300K HID bulbs. Well right now i've got a d2r Hella ballast system setup with 8000K. I've heard what u've said about how 4300K are way better, so today I went checkin at some car shops with no luck. Even gave a call to the manufacturer that made my system (falcon) but they only carried the 8000K that came with my system. I know your from Socal and wondering if you knew any places that would carry 4300K HID bulbs? Thanx in advance.

what kind of ballast does the hella system use? if it's phillip's you can just order a d2r bulb from phillip's which i belive are around $150 or so. but if the hella kit uses a panasonic or other type of ballast than you'll run into trouble.

Hella IS the ballast system. From what i know, the 3 main ballast systems ARE Hella, Osram, and Phillips. Whats wrong with panasonic? Why would there be trouble?

why? because phillip's, osram, panasonic, or hella ballasts don't usually interchange parts. i used to have a panasonic ballast, and the phillip's ballast, it's not possible to use the panasonic ballasts with the phillip's bulbs without some kind of harness if that is even possible.

I had 4100K HID bulbs in my Civic previously... They're bright and are in pure white color compared to my friend's 6000K HID bulbs, which are in more bluish color.
