Help my gauge cluster sux!!
Okay I swapped in a 98 ex cluster into my 96 cx for the tach feature and the temp gauge doesn't work. I spent $100 on this and the salvage won't even give me a replacement. How do I go about getting this thing fixed? If I can't get it fixed I think I'm going to out in my old cluster and get a oversize tach to mount on the a-pillar. Any help appreciated!
o ok L0L..just swap out the section with the temp gauge on it onto the the other cluster..it should work then..just be careful not to mess with the needles..

I thought about doing that but my old cluster has the temp by itself as opposed to the ex cluster that has the temp with the fuel gauge. The cx's cluster from left to right is temp-speedo-fuel, the ex's is tach-speedo-fuel- temp with the fuel and temp on the same plate while on the cx is temp gets its own plate.
why don't you keep your new cluster and get an oversized temp gauge? that would be tizzite! or you could order replacement parts for your new cluster here:

Don't get the oversized gauge. Keep the EX cluster and get a 2 5/8 Tach from Autometer w/ a Single pillar pod. Or even the APEXi rev/speed meter. That huge 5" tach is just rice IMO. Ugly too IMO!
http://www.nopionline.com has the Autometer gauge.

this may sound stupid but, try switching the bulb in the back near the temp gauge w/ one from a different gauge, you may be surprised. the bulbs are actually part of the circuit, atleast my speedo one was in my teg cluster
