I know the H22 droped in a civic will haul *** in a straight line, but what i am wondering is how the heavy front end turns. Does it feel really off balanced? Does it handle well enough to take it on a road course or is it purely a straight line car?

As it sits now on EX springs and shocks it rides quite nice. The weather has not been to good to drive hard in the corners seein how the roads are all covered in salt and sand... I was able to take it up a Hill that is quite curvy and it was very nice to drive the LSD is prolly the biggest part of it driving that way... Well you could take take it to a road course. It will need springs and shocks anyway you look at it! It does not feel off balance. but you can notice the weight, but there again i think that it is mostly the suspension.
The owner is more concerened about straight line than anything.

I am really considering doing an H22 swap in the next couple of months. I can buy a 96 civic CX for $1200 and i think i should be able to find a nice H22 for about $4k. I was just worried that the car would feel unstable when turning.
Did you modify you oil pan at all? I heard that if you lower to much the car the H22's oil pan can scrape the ground faily easily.

Well what are you looking for in the car? Track car? Or drag car or DD?
You should be able to get a H22 for $2500 shipped to your door. A little more for the LSD equipped. It does not feel Unstable! Just do a nice suspension upgrade and it sould be fine. It will push but so does all FWD's.
Nope Stock oil pan! The car is not lowered... I have a under car pic here....
If you want a bigger pic let me know.

My friend who did a h22 swap into his civic got a carbon fiber hood to try and compensate for the added weight in the front..
one of the few times i find it valid to get a CF hood.

everyone hates on the h22 because they can't handle it or are worried about wrecking. i think with the right suspension it will feel like any other car with a swap + torque
beating s2000's on a stock motor is priceless compared to the price of one. care may not look better but can still look nice and run. i myself want to do an h22a4 swap in my EK but i want to get an exact idea of how to do the swap and how hard the wireing may be.
