Default Death penalty for Thieves

So, I come out to my car this morning, excited that i actually up for my Pre Cal class, put my bag in the trunk, and get in. I begin to put the key in the ignition when i notice that my armrest wasnt their. (99 Civic EX). So i looked right.....realized there was no window.......looked ahead....realized that my center piece was in about 4 diff pieces and my Kenwood Cd player was not there. At first i really did not realize what had happened. Then it hit my....I HAD BEEN JACKED. I get out of the car kicking and screaming. Looking around for the nearest victim in my parking lot, but no one was around. When the police arrived i realized that i had also left my sony digital camera i their as well. The part that makes me kick myself in the *** is that I have a viper 800esp alarm, but i had just changed the batteries (transmitter) a few weeks ago and forgot to take it to my friend at Circuit City to get him to reprogram the new remote, so my alarm was not on. A proximity sensor and shock does not do much good when it is unarmed. So now with a shattered window, no cd player, and no digi cam. but i do have that beautiful 500$ f*%kng deductable that might cover my cd player....emphasis on might. Anyways, i needed some release.
Lesson Learned: Never say that it will not happen to you.
Tip: Ditch the POS factory alarm....buy a good one (no not the ones that Auto Zone sells), and make sure that it is on.
