Default Alarm removal

I bought my car pretty much stock from a guy that worked at a best buy. The car did have a viper alarm, with key less start, screen showing where it was being broke into, etc etc. Recently my remote quit working along with the alarm which I have no idea as to why So I have just been locking and unlocking my car manually which is no biggie for me, but yesterday my cd deck would not read my cd nor eject it. It would not connect to my ipod or even find a radio station. Last night I went to get in it and it would not start, no click, no nothing. The alarm started beeping (not going off just a constant beep) non stop and all my lights were flashing, my remote would not cut it off. So today I went to a local high end audio store and I found out that these alarms can prevent the car from starting. I explained my problem and he told me what to do. They alarm still does not work though.

Now I am no audio or alarm expert so I have a few questions about this..
Any idea on what the hell went wrong with the alarm?
Is there any way to fix it?
Should I just get a new alarm installed?

I honestly just want to pull it all out and go back to power door locks like the car came with. How would I do that?

Thanks for the help guys.

Default Re: Alarm removal

lets start off with posting the year, make, and model of the vehicle, along with any model numbers of the aftermarket equipment that you have access to. If the guy worked at bestbuy, there is a chance that bestbuy did all the install. The good thing about that is that viper will honor a 99 year warranty on the alarm's brain if bestbuy did the install, and the guy has the receipt. If he is an employee, he can get the receipt even if he doesnt have it. Is the key fob for the viper blue? when your deck was f'ing up, did it have power? were you able to get any audio at all? So, you would track up, track down, but it wouldn't play anything, whether its FM, CD, or Ipod? When yous say alll your lights were flashing, do you mean parking lights and the alarm's LED, or even more lights? What did the shop tell you to do while you were there? You said your remote not cut off.. what do you mean? was it just beeping or something?

I know these are a lot of tedious questions to have to anwer, but if you are precise and clear with your answers, it can def help give us a better idea on what advice to give you...
