Default Information Needed?

I live in South Africa and drive a 4 door honda vtec, all i know about the car in terms of specs are that it has a b16a6 engine, the chassis is a S04 model, I want to start importing some mugen and other parts in but need to know what I can import and what the best setup for my car would be.

some more info on my car;
* Right hand drive
* 1600 engine
* 95kw on the wheels on the dyno
* 123kw on the motor
* otherwise it is stock standard.

PS Honda South Africa cannot help me as they know as much as what I do.

Your assistance in any regard will be gretly appreciated
Thanks for the great site, keep it up.

What part of south africa are you from?

What do you mean "95kw on the wheels" ? The B16 motor puts out 170hp, and 116ft/lbs of torque

Have you chcked into local laws about modifying your car? I know in alot of countries you are not allowed to...

Welcome to H-T!

Well I wish I could help you more, but when it comes to motor all b motors are about the same on the out side. There is diffrent stuff on the in side. So if you want to buy somthing small you can do it, it should fit. sorry I can't help.

just some friendly advice: provide more info when looking for suggestions on what mods to use. we need to know what you intend on doing with your car. (i.e. roadrace, drag race, etc.) also, learn to use the search feature. this will become your best friend. you really dont want some of these guys to start flaming on you. as far as importing, are you talking about for resale or just asking for input as to which mugen parts to use?

EDIT:welcome aboard

Thanks for the reply. I am from Alberton in Johannesburg.
In SA we work in kilowatts KW, so I realy don't no what the true Bhp of the car is, but i think the conversion is KW X 1.34 which comes to roughly 169Bhp for my motor.

Local Law? The epitome of all modified car owners, The laws in SA don't really allow for car modifications but they are not strict, by this I mean they don't do stops to specifically check for that.

Thanks Again
Mike

Thanks for the reply.

The Mugen parts are for my car. We have street drags for 1/4 mile and 90% of the Vtec's that race have parts from the South African market, I want better performance parts for my car and first on my list is all the small things like exhaust, cams, throttle body and what ever else I can have done to the motor before I start with my second project a GReddy Turbo and Intercooler. If you know of performance parts that are better for Vtec's than Mugen give me a reply.

Thanks for the tip on the Search Button
Mike

you can get simple bolt ons from the usa which should fit on account that their mostly universal but i would try contacting Honda japan or usa and seeing if they can give you some info. they should have some database where they can get you the exact layout and spec's of your engine.
good luck with your project
