my friend wants to get rota subzero's for his 01 prelude.
no matter how hard I tried to change his mind, he wants 18"..
so what offset and tire size do you recommend?

oh and the car is pearl white, what color do you think would look good?
white, black, bronze, or gunmetal?

Well I had 18s on my Lude and was very happy with how they looked. I think that Ludes are bigger cars that need bigger rims, 17s at least. Anyways that's a personal preference. My advise is that you can't go over a 7.5" width and to get 40 SERIES TIRES(most rim/tire combos come with 35) ! I bent two very expensice MHT wheels with my 35s . Tell him to check the tire pressure every day and hopefully full infaltion and the extra sidewall will help protect his rims. As far as for color, I'd say gunmetal or maybe bronze. I dunno if u can get subzero's with a lip but a white Lude with gunmetal/polished lip looks awesome. Check the appearance forum to see examples, there's lots of white Ludes there.

Well its a good thing ROTA doesn't make 18s for the subzero. (I think)

Ands why is that? So that this "ricer" can't spend his hard earned cash and buy what he damn well pleases?

Just tell him to get what he likes. I think 18s are nice on 5th gens but 17s on 4th gens. It's not ricer and at least they're not some crazy 'bling bling' chrome rims.
