I try to take good care of my car, washing it regularly, waxing, etc. but it still is 5 years old, and black, so it has its share of paint swirls. Is there any way to get rid of them permanently?

I have tried scratch x, and that works for a while, but I am wondering if someone can "buff them out" or something like that with having to repaint my car.

Sorry for such a newbie question, but i dont know much about paint and stuff like that.

clay bar your car. Go to the local auto store and get a clay bar kit. This will get all the swirls and dirt out of your finish and make it look new!

 

Get some 3m swirl mark remover and apply it using a small circular patern.Do one pannel at a time in the shade.Meguirs is a good alternative.
