it was just a question, i didnt say they were drag radials, but who knows. They could have better traction after burning out. And if you think im a rice boy then IM B18C5-EH2 and ask him. You dont know me so i dont see how you have the grounds to call me that. I didnt ask a question like how will my clears and my graphics look.....

to answer tha mans question, unlike others, no, in my experience and working at a drag strip, azenis don't need to be heated, some do it, others don't. but from my experience with these tires, i got better 60's without heating them
Put my tire pressure to 30psi and got 2.2's all day. No water box, no dry burnout. Just set the tire to 30 and dropped the clutch at 3000. They do have stiff sidewalls and you get wheel hop if it is cold or the track is cold. They are not drag tires but they do grip

i dont think with azenis heating them will help much. they are so stiffly constructed that the tire pressure or heat will not afftect them too much.
you my friend "hondaatwsu" are a faawkn moron. dont reply to a post if you have no info to offer or help in some way. didnt your inbreded family teach ya this?

I know in a road race app. these tires will grip more after a hot lap or too. They will seem to grip a little better when warming them up. Why dont you try both ways and see what works best. You guys need to take it easy. I think the question was perfectly warentable.
I have a set of Azenis on my car right now and like many people said, "they are street tires." There is no need to warm them up. The best thing to do is to probably drop the tire pressure.
i hate to break the news to u, but azenis arent drag radials. they r STREET TIRES, which means meant for the street.
i find no need to warm up my azenis...consistant 2.2 with out really trying

hey you work at sacraceway eh...
how does everyone like theirs for higher hp apps? im stuck if i want a set of thme for street tires, or just rolling on drag radials all the time , ******* no traction sucks ***. i wish i could roll slicks on the street
man... i really DID NOT like using my azenis at the drag strip. dont get me wrong, i LOVE these tires, just not at the strip. i know many people that love em, use em everyweek. in my highbrid accord, all that happens is HOP. i mean bad wheel hop, enough to force the tranny OUT OF GEAR! sheesh. i went two weeks and got so tired of putting my dam radio back in the slot after it flew out the slot. ill stick with nittos i got for the drag strip.
i had these on my 94 coupe with b16a/ nitrous. i ran 2.1- 2.2 all the time on or off the bottle, i just did a quick burn out to clean them off. i ran my pressure at like 25 psi or so. I never had wheel hop with them though
ya see i dont know what the deal is, because my friend with just a b16 ef uses them and loves em. then there are a bunch of neon guys out here that swear there the best things around... i dunno, maybe i have too much torque
first off, if u guys want a war of words go right ahead, have fun. second off u guys both r from the south. need i say more???? as far as the moronic comments goes, i think both of u that have advertisements for your business , a business that u work at or business that u deal with just shows the lack of business skills u both have. now thats what i call intelligence.

hey guys, a little off base here...but I have been trying to read up on some past threads for some new tires, and narrowed it to azenis, or...Yokohama AVS ES100 ....but, at tirerack, i only see the ES100's offered in 195/50VR15...i have a 2000 teg ls...and my stock size is 195/55/15...can i go with an alternative size? if so...how off base can i go?....i figure you guys should know this. Thanx guys

this is also a bit off base, but so is every other post, so... I heard a formula that for every tenth you take off your 60', you gain two tenths at the end of the track. Is this about right? Does that mean that if I get my 2.37s 60' time down to 2.2 or so, I can expect between a 2-3 tenth drop in 1/4et? Thanx
