Jackson Racing Superchargers no good?
He's an idiot.
JRSC's are good for street use. They don't make as much power as a turbo, but the power is instant. It's a trade off... what do you want for your car? Pure power when you all out race or just a good boost of power that's there all the time?
TUNING is the key as with ANY forced induction. Installation and wiring is a BITCH on those things. In fact, the test Prelude for the JRSC that Oscar used was a red SH. If you don't tune a JRSC install right, ya damn skippy you're gonna blow things up. I bet you could put a 25 shot of juice on an H22A wrong and blow it up.
The turbo actually stands a better chance of causing the ATTS system to wig out from too much power.
I'm a turbo fan for my own personal tastes... I like power. Boost lag is something I don't care about. But I do readily admit that there is a very large market of people that the SC appeals to and would be better for instead of a turbo.

I wholeheartedly agree, tuning IS the key. However, the there is little that can be done to tune the stock JRSC lude kit. Sure, you can toy with the fuel pressure a bit, and you can play with the boost/timing control **** to back off the timing, but it has been shown time and time again that on at least half of the cars it is installed, the JR fuel/engine "management" is inadequate for the setup. Upgrade the injectors and get some real engine management, and then you can tune the JRSC and have a reliable daily driver.
