Default no spark

The past week I have been having some troubles. I ended up replacing the distributor with a new one. Now the car runs sometimes...and not others. My question: what gives the distributor power? Is it just a 12v connection or is there something like an MSD blaster on the car? CRX b16

If there is no blaster I believe I have a wireing problem that is going to be a bitch, first to find the bad connection and second to rewire.

the distributor has an internal coil, my guess is the distributor that you swapped out had a **** coil. swap your old coil on and see if that fixes the problem.

its a brand new coil...I don't think it would work one second and not the next. I still thing it is a wireing problem tho.
