Default Where is the cheapest place to get a ZC?

I looked at Hmotorsonlines prices and they were like around $550 without shipping. The reason I'm asking is I want to look at all of my options from all angles whether I swap and do a D15 build up and go to MPFI or go to the ZC swap. So like how much is the cheapest ZC with like no more than 45K on them. I know I am posting alot but I have the knowledge right now I just looking at the cheapest way to 130+hp at the crank.

what ZC are you looking at? DOHC or SOHC. they produce about the same. Except the SOHC is a straight forward swap no extra wires like the DOHC. anyway there is a place here by me in IL called SOKO hes got tons of SOHC ZCs i think hes asking like 350 plus shipping. great condition too. anyway heres the number
1-800-338-7656

one last thing the DOHC ae getting more rare and harder to find. also i rana 15.3 in my SOHC ZC with just bolt-ons. just my 2 cents.

Yes I'd like to see that too. My room mate has a B18 (Del Sol) with Nitrous and only runs a 13.6. Most DOHC ZC's run about 15.5 in an ED/EF. I just find a 13.2 kinda hard to beleive without forced induction and extensive mods.

I think I'll go ahead and probably go with the D15 build-up. Because the ZC is so freakin' weak on the inside. I already have free D15 block just laying around on the ground at my house I'm asking on another post what kind of OEM internals I can use do you know of any?

What do you think is on the inside of a D15?

Okay that's it I called the place that NA CRX SI refered me to and they are easily the cheapest. I am gonna go with them and the SOHC ZC. For $455.00 shipped that's pretty damned good! Unless somebody else can beat that then bring on the ZC! Thank you all!

Wooo hooo i actually helped someone out. Soko is a good place but for the bigger motors they are usually out, but if you need a SOHC ZC then they got it for sure.

I dont think those numbers are so off (13.2) Ive seen (not mine) 13.6 on a zc with bolt ons, cams, and a 55 shot with slicks. Seems reasonalble to me.

its not that hard at all to do. run low thirteens with zc on the bottle. i have done it a couple times. with 2 different motors. i have a 1g zc (d16a1) in an 87 integ and i run an 80 shot on slicks and the car is gutted (1880lbs) and i have run a 13.0 and yes i have timeslips. if i can find it i will post it (i just moved and i think my slips are packed still) and then i have a black top zc in a 4g4dr and on my friends g-tec i run a 13.3 on street tires with a 75 shot. but remember the 1g zc is 113 hp and the black top is 130hp so with slicks on the track i SHOULD be able to hit 12's on the bottle. but its my daily driver and the integ is not so i dont think that i will try with the civic. anyways low 13's can be done and i have done it many times.
by the way...i live in boise idaho and the track is at 2800 feet above sea level.
just my $0.02

What's the SOHC ZC rated at? I have heard that the DOHC ZC is like 137 and the SOHC is like 129? Is this incorrect? Somebody who knows let me know. I have just gutted the crap out of my HF no passenger seat no interior except dash and door skins. With the SOHC what'll you think I'll run, keep in mind I can drive pretty well but also what is the perfect shift point for the SOHC ZC?
