Are you worried about high end speed? Or torque? On the upper rpm ranges, you will accelerate harder with the B16 tranny (shorter gears). LS is good for highway cruising (low rpm's) and you will have a higher top speed.

I guess what I'm trying to say is if you want a higher top speed, use the LS tranny. If you want more accelerating power (sacrificing top speed), use the B16 tranny.

In your case, since you still don't have a high revving motor, I'd use the LS tranny. There would be no point to have to shift so fast when you're juicing. It would be a waste.

what do u consider "high revving" b16 revs up to 8200 or higher easily. w/ nos or without , a gsr or R tranny would suit a b16 better. LS tranny sucks dxck for accelerating through gears.

Wow, I totally misunderstood the question...somewhat. I thought he had the choice between a B16 tranny or an LS tranny in his 91 Integra. My bad.

I meant that the 91 Integra motor wasn't high revving.

Anywho, in the case of the original post, I'd agree with you, I'd keep the B16 tranny. Unless you have serious boost (not NOS), LS trannies won't do much to help you.

LS trannies are good for boost applications, but other than that, the GSR, Si, or ITR tranny would be your best bet for some shorter and faster accelerating gears.

95% of the people who post on here are not going to have a turbo setup in which an LS would benefit them. so please stop spreading around false information. THANKS BUDDY
