What are the signs of a clutch going bad???
I am the second owner of the car, has 34,000 miles, bleed clutch/brakes 2000 miles ago with RBF 600.
Maybe it's the way I drive due to metro city traffics, but just like my previous ITR with only 22,000 miles on it, the clutch has this poping noise/feel when engaged. I remember some said that a ring was dry up...etc. But today, I also notice that I have an unusually high release point, it's almost at the end of the total range of the clutch! I put the car in 3rd gear, and let go of the clutch and the car stalls immediately...seems to grab pretty well.
Is it time for a new clutch? Afterall, the autox season and ITR expo is near.
I personally like the Mugen, their advertisment words on Kingsmotor moved me. But just like to hear some opinions. With more rationality, I may go with the Toda clutch/flywheel combo.

the pedals? What should I look for?
Oh, other possbile related recent work is rotor/brake pad change, although I don't think it will make any change to the clutch reservoir...and also a driver side axle joint change.

A way to tell if the clutch is slipping is to put the car in 3rd gear from a dead stop, from moderate RPMS drop the clutch, if the car starts to move=bad clutch, if the car stalls the clutch is not slipping. If you have done that, and you are stalling immediatlely then I doubt it is the clutch.
Another way to check is when cruising on highway in 5th, then give it some gas and see how the rev and speed goes. If both rev and speed goes up proportionally, that means the clutch is good. If rev goes up but speed just goes up a little, the clutch is bad. 5th gear is where the clutch slip first before it slips in other gears (which maybe too late and scratch the flywheel).

I just had my Toda flywheel installed about 1200 miles ago. I LOVE IT!! I also ended up getting the ACT Extream P/P and Street/Strip disk. The Pedal is a little stiff, but I like it. Most people would recomend the Heavy Duty P/P for the stock like feel.

My car stalls and picks up speed relativly well in 5th...lots of time, I don't need to down shift and be able to keep up with lots of bigger displacement boys on the highway.
But what's with the high release point? and the poping sensation?
