Default Turbo kit...

So far all the turbo kits I have seen for 4th gens have been for the H22A... I have finally found one for the H23!!

Found it at http://www.overboost.com
http://www.overboost.com/obs/product.asp?pid=19868
It sells for under $3,300.

It's only a stage 1 kit (I know) but I am only after something I can build on. Anyone know if these kits are any good? Or does anyone know if overboost.com is a reliable company?

Help is appreciated!

ok GudeH23a, I am interested... well at least I THINK I am... I kinda got lost in all the facts and figures! (bit of a newb here... go easy!)

So basically I would be needing;
the drag gen 2 manifold,
t04e turbonetics ball bearing turbo with polished compressor housing,
and maybe the intake mani???

I assume all that gear you have will bolt up to my 92 H23 without need for adjustment?
Is it new/near new/thrashed to hell?

I am also assuming that the 400hp mentioned is the rating of the turbo?? (how much hp it can handle?)

What other equipment would I need to get boosted? Is an intercooler a necessity with a t04? I expect to only run 6-8psi before I totally overhaul the engine, but I know I need to get resleeved and have the compression dropped before I go too far...
Thanks for the help, sorry if I am a little new to the boost thing.

this is the basic you neede to get boosted:

exhaust manifold
turbo
down pipe
wastegate
i/c i have heard of people not using and i/c but I would say used it regarless how much boost you running even if it only 6-8 psi
i/c piping
Blowoff valve
fmu

those thing I would say are essesntial but you can also get some guages to keep and eye on you a/f, oil pressure and boost. some bigger injector like the DSM 450 should be easy to find and cheap... i think that's about it.... I'm not an expert ... I have learn what i know from all this guys in HT... hope the helps

Yes, the turbo is rated at 400hp. You will need all of the things mentioned above, but dont bother wasting money on an air fuel meter, they are a waste of money unless you buy a $600-1k wide band a/f meter. Go with a boost gauge and an egt gauge. You can order all of your intercooler piping through jegs, they will be mandrel bent pipes and just have a good welder piece it all together for you. As for intercooler, i have the standard i/c that comes with the drag kits that im probably selling in the near future as well... im asking about 300 for it. One more thing would be a missing link map sensor and an inline fuel pump, all of which i have sitting around the garage.

Thanks LJR!

So how much are you asking for all those parts you mentioned you had for the H23 GudeH23a? (excluding shipping)
Is the Turbo mentioned in your signature the one in the pic?
And I don't spose you live anywhere near Salt Lake City?!
Basically I just want to know how much all the parts that I can get from you are going to cost me...
and I want to know if all the gear is new/near new/thrashed to hell?
