piston upgrade
On my crx si d16a6, i put in 88-89 d16a1 teg pistons. gets you about 11 to 1 compression. Make sure to have block bored and get oversized pistons. It allows new rings to bond with cylinder walls better. I stuck with stock bore pistons and now i burn oil.
Any D-Series would work. As for compression ratios that I dunno about seriously. You have to consider what rods your using. Is a SOHC rod length the same a say a SI?? If so go by what they sell for a D16A6 and what there compression ratio is. Z6's have a little higher C/R with the same length rods, can try those or DX's pistons on SI rods and raise it some more based on DX's having 9.2 c/r with .21" shorter rod length. This is based from a chiltons manual which cover 88-95 it has rod length and c/r based on honda specs (hehehehe)
