painting side skirts
It shouldent be very expencive. Try the search and if you dont find anything call your local body shop and ask them for a quote or estimate. IMO I dont think you should do it. Its your car though. Good luck with it.
i did it myself and it was a perfect match...three cans of duplicolor milano red paint from kragen...i highly recommend it...if it woulda looked shitty i woulda just painted them black again but it came out really well
$140 seems fair, just make sure that they use adhesion promoter or else the paint will chip off over time. I you wanted you could probably do it yourself. Just scuff the entire sideskirts with a green Scotch Bright pad, then wash the piece and rub down the sideskirt with some kind of degreaser. Next spay the Adhesion Promoter, then spray your primer. After the primer is dry then come back and wet sand the entire sideskirt. Again use the degreaser to clean off the piece, then spray a coat of Adhesion Promoter, and then finally a couple layers of paint. I did this with a gun but you could probably try using the duplicolor paint, just test it out first to make sure that it matches your origional paint. You can get Adhesion Promoter at any Automotive Paint supply store.

Now that's a great job right there, that looks professional. But to be honest, most of the do it yourself jobs that I've seen don't look so great, they start fading and don't match over time.

w0rd. You've got to apply lots of coats in an even fashion. If they aren't thick, the paint will look lighter usually. If they aren't even, you'll be able to tell once it dries.
