a friend has a ITR tranny that he wants to get rid of and i was wondering if the all B series parts fit B series motors rule applies with the trannies too?

 

cant anyone help me out. i know this cant be that complicated of a question

 

If you can score the tranny for a good deal, go for it. B20 w/ LSD = can't go wrong! (Yes, all B-series trannies are compatible. Be sure that your car is hydro equipped (ITR trannies are).) Good luck!

 

NO!! The B20A/B21A have NOTHING in common with the b16/17/18/20b/z....Totally different.

ok so what would be the best tranny for aggressive street driving for the b20? i was just thinking about it and i didnt even figure the fact that the B20 is probably a cable type clutch. so are there any suggestions about what trans to get.

Well to be totally honest with you there really arent any options. You can just use the B21 tranny (90-91)...it has shorter gears (I THINK) for better acceleration...but sucks on the highway.

there's no compatible tranny as far as i've seen...

there is an lsd for the car, or was...

i've read that there are other lsd's from other cars that work... but i'm not 100%...

the gearing and speeds(mph) of my 3gen trans are actually very close to those of the 4gen and 5gen, as i've talked with a few owners who have confirmed it
