Hi. How fast is you Mustang?

 

well i've heard of people running 13.8 stock, but i haven't had the chance to run it. i have a friend that has a lightning, and he wants to run, my friend in an si wants to run, and my friend in an a4 wants to run. so i think we'll make a day and take it to the track. i gotta ask though, why does everyone want to run mustangs, and why do so many import enthusiasts hate my car? i thought ricers did, but i was lurking in your forums, and man, a lot of you hate on mustangs.

 

i dont hate them, its just a lot of people i see wtih mustangs are dicks, stuck-up, and they look down on us becuase we have a honda. i dunno, if they are cool wtih me then i am cool wtih them

 

yeah, ******* mustang.... j/k, but really, most likely, this is going to be one of the few forums aside from Kill Stories that will happily accept a domestic driver without continually flaming them

Hondas for some strange reason seem to get picked on a lot by Mustang drivers. They drive past their exits and chase me for miles on the freeway, run redlights, whatever, just pull up and **** on my Lude. So after a few of these little episodes, your new purpose in life also would become getting boost, revving on the 1st Stang you can find and smoking his ***. I dream about that ****, but I digress.

And to a lot of import peeps, Stangs represent everything that sucked about old school, straight line, big block, Hee Haw hp (no offense intended, present company excluded). I can't stereotype a person by his car, but a good amount of them (Stang drivers) that I've met turned out to be pure fucktards.

Sorry dude, but I personally can't stand 'em either. Don't get me wrong, not you personally. Hell my mom drives a Stang, but hey then again, come to think of it she has been getting kinda arrogant and uppity lately. Hmm...

 

hey there, welcome. around here a lot of stang drivers call us (honda drivers) un-american, not patriotic, things like that. so being in the navy and driving a lude i get a lot of comments. its stupid. some of the guys are cool. hell one of my really good buddies drives a bad *** stang. he's pullin 9's. its just the american rice factor. same as the ricers in honda's. its all the driver.

It is recepriocal...I don't care what the driver drives, if you dislike me, I'll dislike you. Having said that, I think most Prelude owners respect most rides b/c we can apperciate the types of cars out there. Unlike other drivers of certain cars

Welcome, and so far everyone has hit the nail right on the head. I can't wait to be boosted. There is one Stang I want to smoke. He always belittles my poor Lude. Big block this and 8 cylinder that. Can't remember the guys name.............oh yeah...........it's my BROTHER...

But seriously, I love my brother to death and I'm sure you a good person also but damn you guys and your mustangs...

I think you said it yourself that everyone wants to race you, it's not just Hondas. It's like the symbol of American affordable performance so it's gonna get challeneged

 

The thing is i also always have the same icident. When i pull up to a light a stang comes up and it always looks me down cuz i got a 4 and he got a 6. Then he starts to you know row the car back cuz he thinks he cool and have a stick. The light turn's green and he pull's hard. really hard. the cop pull's from the right and i drive slowly offf. i was laughing all nite. its because i hate mustangs for that. it's because they think they are so dam tuff and they have a great 6 or 8 and bigger mean better my asssss. i mean their is alot of 4's out their that could take them on.

I don't know what all the fuss is about, I love mustangs: new ones, old ones, they all TASTE GREAT! my 600 hp lude eats 'em at the lights, and leaves 'em on the straights!

all that's true, but I don't hate the mustang drivers---actually after racing one the guy driving it usually HAS TO KNOW how I just slaughtered his V8 with only 4 cyl's! I've made several friends in the mustang community, and even have been invited to a dyno day with them, and I was "the car to beat" that day!

I ran into a cool mustang guy the other night.....
Were were lined up at a light and me and my partner Sean (in his camaro that just got a badass cam and no exhaust) had just owned some trans am, and look over and there is like a 93 cobra (bolt-ons) next to us (who had just seen us own the trans am) and I was like "Is that thing fast?" and he was like "kinda"......so we leave the light going slow, and I get into 2nd and punch it to BOV him, and he yells back "Hell no, I'm not stupid" .....at least he knew what he was up against and didn't make me waste race gas....LOL
Guy was cool tho, pulled over with us to check out the cars....his passenger was building an LS/VTEC and wants us to turbo it

how come i can only post 5 times in 24 hours? and how come i cant post in the general forums. the reason why i like the prelude forums, is that it's probably my favorite honda. i was going to get one instead of my first stang (POS v6) but everywhere i was being quoted 27grand, i ain't paying that for a 200hp lude, i'm sorry. but i still like the cars, my homegirl has one, and i love driving her car

If you want a nice inexpensive Prelude, go for a used one. Best one for the money is a 93-96 Prelude VTEC

 

thanks, but no thanks, if i get another car, it's gotta be that civic hybrid. 45 mpg owns my 14 mpg. that would be a great daily driver.

it's b/c your a n00b.... it's just the way it goes, it's to prevent trolls mostly, once you've been a member for 15 days, you can pretty much do as you please

 

My favorite Mustangs were the 86-93. I loved those things. The 5.0s. Can't beat that V8 exhaust sound

 

Hey , read like ever thread in prelude forum, just wonted to say that I hang out with a few guys that love cars everything from a civic to a Mclaren f1 ( oh yes it will be mine one day oh yes) if it moves its great . and i have a lude but stangs just r a common thing to see so with anything that has a large # of, u will have extremes from one end to the other. But I have to say with a stock H23 I have no problem blowing away a stang, that and because my driven skills, going throu town I killed a cobra-R that was fun

 

Honestly man, please don't say that to anyone outside the Prelude modding world.
A stock H23 beating a Cobra R is just rediculous. Two possible reasons why you beat him. 1.) He didn't know you were racing. 2). He doesn't race on the street.

Unless it was a legitimate race and for some MINUTE chance you did beat him ( also you providing proof of course too) please don't make those kinds of claims. It just makes us ALL look bad.

Also, a stock H23 BLOW AWAY a Mustang??? Half a car?? 3 car lengths?? Please clarify.
