Idle adjustment screw, screwing itself in?!?!?!?
I think I've figured out my cel problem, with the fuel supply(#43), for some reason my idle screw on the intake manifold is screwing itself in all the way and so my idle is soo low that the fuel pressure drops b/c the car is about to cut out at every single stop. I then unscrew the adjustment like 5 compete revolutions out and reset the ecu but in a week or so the screw is back all the way in and my idle sucks and I start throwing the code. So why is my idle screw screwing itself in?!?!?!?!
doesn't that screw have a small o-ring around it? thats what is supposed to stop it from moving, go to honda or autozone and get an o-ring. = non-ghetto fix
I think you are right, I'm gonna get a new o-ring and see what happens. I was just scared to unscrew it all the way out...wasn't sure if it held anything inside together but i found it doesn't so I'm gonna replace the o-ring.
(You can take the screw right out)When you put the new O-ring on, clean the Idel screw with carb cleaner to get the carbon buildup off it.
