That's awesome Ed!
How much does that school cost you (your family)? If one wants to get a comp license, what's the cheapest way to do it (don't want those $3K skip barbara ones)?

Bondurant is highly overrated. No offense sack. Last place I would ever go to learn to race. Personally I would rather go through NASA or Pro Autosports here in Phoenix. For the same price you could go to 10+ track events and get instruction from people currently invovled in racing and you would learn a lot more. My roommate went there with his boss's M3 and I can take him any day at the track.

By the way, did you drive the Mustangs? They sold them all, they now use Corvettes. Should'be waited

I'm not arguing with you. It would not be my first choice in schools, but for free it was an easy decision

BTW- The Mustangs are being replaced with Cadillac CTS's and the Cobras are switching to C5 Vettes... There are also a few Z06's. The Formula Fords will get Chevy motors too. When I was there, all the new cars were on hand and they were busy prepping them. I was told it would not be till April that they would make the switch.

Wai-Skip Barber is actually cheaper then this school I think, and probably a lot better. The cost of doing it this way vs. going thru SCCA or NASA schools is more, but does take longer. Also you have the cost of consumables since its your own car. Honestly I would not have done this if it was coming from my own pocket.

Honda-Tech has two sites:

https://honda-tech.com
https://honda-tech.com

If you're logged into "https://honda-tech.com", you won't be logged into "https://honda-tech.com". Also, if you've ever logged into the other site with a name that you've changed, you'll get the above message.

bleh, hope that made sense.

Wai: Cheapest way to get an SCCA club racing license is to go to the SCCA schools. They are very cheap and you can do it in 2 schools. (cheap=~160 per school usually). You do need your own car of course where as the SB, Bond., etc schools you don't.. but why in the hell would one get a comp license if they didn't have a car to race anyways?
