trany dropping question?(not pantie dropping)
ok im droppin my tranny and C-speedracing.com say that i need to take off my starter, WHY? i dont get it it is on the other side of the tranny...can anyone help? thanx. much appreciated

You're right. Starter has to come off. The long bolt is quite a pain b/c it doesn't just finger thread out once you break it loose.

When taking the tranny out of a b series motor the starter doesn't have to come off of the tranny. Only take the 14mm headed bolt that is under the starter off, that is the bolt that goes through the tranny and actually threads into the block itself. The top 14mm headed bolt you can just leave, since it it threaded into the tranny.
