Remember how AEM's R&D posted a topic about how they needed a GS-R to make a second generation CAI???

Well, I let them use my car for ~two weeks... My car was dynoed with the original CAI with ~153 hp... I can't remember the exact numbers... They will be sending me their new CAI when it comes out for free... They also gave me a short ram intake for free and also their cam gears...

Overall I was happy with the turn out... I got some free stuff while they dynoed my car and used it to make their second generation intakes...

BTW... I am selling the cam gears and also the short ram take... I will also sell the second generation CAI once I receive it...

What exactly is changing? Please don't tell me they want even more for this thing, I think $220 is obsurd enough as it is right now. Definently gives us the numbers...oh and some proof <dyno> would be nice.

 

The dyno plot is on their website... I'm not sure about how much the second one will be... And they didn't tell me how much more hp their second generation was either... but I do know that it should be out in about six weeks.

Well I know for a civic they made 16.9 hp with their second generation CAI... So I'm hoping that the Integra one will, too.

 

Did they have to trim any of your fender well or any parts of your car in order to make it fit?

 

was it the V2?

No they didn't have to trim anything to make it all fit... They made it fit better than their original CAI... it doesn't rub anywhere.

Nope just the intake by itself... The RSX intake had really good hp gains with their intake as well.

 

an intake is an intake. nothing to make a big deal out of. and don't believe in all the hype.
