Almost every time, when i exit the vehicle after going somewhere, i open the door and grab the top of the door to exit and ZAP i get shocked everytime. i mean this is a 02 rsx, no mods, all stock. whats up with that?

 

so...you've never been shocked before? have you heard of static electricity?

DUDE, i me too! and only my car for sum reason does that, lol every time i get out and grab the window pilliar to shut it, ZAP! SUCKS

Rubbing your feet might have something to do with it, but most of it is from the friction of the tires and rolling resistance. Read your owners manual, they have been stating that for many generations.

 

I have a few cars and I know the humidity is really low here but only the RSX shocks the crap out of me. So loud that the person on the other side can hear and see the blue spark.

 

My 2k2 civic coupe has shocked me since day one, every time and I don't care I just live with it. I don't plan on having this car past 2006 anyway. The $30K family is looking better everyday. By then there will be a 2nd generation S2000 with my name on it!

may RSX has shocked me, my accord used to do it all the time, my home girls focus , dose it to .. go figure... i also get shocked by the shooping carts at walmart

 

and clean the carpet , dust seems to make static electricity more prevelant , also try scotchguard on the carpet , I've heard this helps.

Just close your door with the window and dont touch the metal, or uhh ground yourself to the car haha
