Default Intake manifold

How much of a restriction is the stock intake manifold? It looks like I'll be building my a6 to redline at about 7500rpm. I know the manifold is somewhat responsible for the shape of the powerband as well as the location. Is the stock IM likely to be a restriction at high RPM's even if I get it portmatched to the head?

hmm, i dunno even the most basic of camshafts are upto 7800, and considering the fuel cut is 7100 you may want to shoot a little higher. I bet i/h/e would give you a powerband upto 7500

7800 sounds a little risky on stock rods (eventhough they will be shotpeened and the bottom end balanced).
